Steps to Follow for a Defective or Damaged
Reed & Barton Product Purchased from Our Store...

We require our customers to unpack and carefully inspect their Reed & Barton purchases immediately upon delivery. We do not see these items before they ship because they ship to you directly from Reed and Barton. If this is a gift, you do not want to present the recipient with a broken, damaged, or otherwise imperfect box so PLEASE carefully inspect your order immediately upon delivery!

You must follow these instructions if you receive a damaged or defective Reed & Barton product... if you follow these instructions, UPS will not charge you to return the box.

If there are any problems, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery. Please visit this link for contact information.
After you contact us, we will notify Reed & Barton. They will send you a new box along with a UPS Call Tag (see below).
Carefully repack the damaged/defective jewelry box or chest in all of the original packaging materials including the original outside brown packing box. DO NOT ship the damaged jewelry box back to the factory at this time.

ABOUT THE UPS CALL TAG: Reed & Barton will send you what is called a "UPS Call Tag" and instructions... it will be mailed to you separately. Take the UPS Call Tag and the properly packaged defective/damaged item to a UPS shipping site and it will ship free of charge. If the box is not returned, you will eventually be charged for two boxes.

If you follow these instructions, you will not incur a return
shipping fee. If you ship the item back yourself without
the UPS Call Tag, the shipping fee is not reimbursable.
