Why does an additional fee apply if I don't return your brass sample?

We are one of the very few companies that offer a brass sample viewing service as a courtesy to our customers.  Most of our customers are fantastic and return samples exactly as outlined on the brass sample order page. 

Unfortunately, we've encountered a few individuals who have abused this service and appear to be stocking their jewelry boxes with our brass samples. They have reordered repeatedly and have kept our samples.  This has never been part of the agreement and by doing this, they have penalized our responsible and trustworthy customers because samples are unavailable when THEY request to view them. All brass samples remain our property and must be returned or an additional $30 purchase fee will also apply. 

Example:  Original Shipping Fee + Forfeited Brass Sample Fee + $30.00 per brass sample = The brass sample is yours.

Beginning March 26, 2007-  Any sample not returned to us after 30 days of shipment where no proof of return insured return shipping to us can be provided, will be considered a purchase and an additional $30.00 purchase fee per sample will apply.

Keep your insured return shipping receipt as proof of shipment until you've received credit.
